On Wednesday 17th June, 2015, the Food Science and Technology Unit held its 2nd Breakfast Stakeholder Meeting where over fifteen (15) secondary school principals, teachers and school representatives were in attendance.  At the Breakfast Stakeholder Meeting, all representatives were introduced to the exciting programmes in Food Science and Technology at UTT. Attendees also held discussions for possible collaborations which would increase enrolment of graduates from secondary school.

Participants had the privilege of viewing, sampling, purchasing and providing valuable feedback on research projects and capstone creations to UTT's present Food Science and Technology students. Not only were the creations consumed quickly, but the students were able to gain valuable entrepreneurial experience while dealing with the interest of potential customers. Students were given positive feedback and obtained consumer insight on such areas as product aesthetics, sensory appeal, presentation and packaging, which are all part of their Capstone learning outcomes.

Most were impressed by our students' innovation, creativity and the diligence of our student Attiba Alexander who championed this meeting's success. Invitations were extended to him to be a guest/motivational speaker for some of the school's 2015 graduation ceremonies.
