Mr. David Arnold Sewsankar

I am David Arnold Sewsankar. I am 17 years of age and come from a family of 6 of which I am the youngest. I graduated from Williamsville Secondary School 2017 and attained 7 subjects at CSEC: Grade 2 in Chemistry, Grades 1 in Biology, Mathematics, English A and Information Technology and Distinctions in Principles of Business and Agricultural Science. I came fourth on Merit List in the Caribbean and first in Trinidad in Agricultural Science.

Agriculture became very interesting to me since I was introduced to it at a young age by helping out in my family's garden. It amazes me how plants grow and produce and it gives me a sense of joy when I grow crops organically and they produce tremendously. About a year ago I was introduced to a plant propagation method called aquaponics. I became very interested in it and began to learn about it from the Internet. Soon after I built my first aquaponics system which was successful but there were some problems, so in order to increase my knowledge in agriculture I have decided to attend ECIAF so one day I would be able to produce high quality crops on an industrial level using the plant propagation method of aquaponics.

There were many other career opportunities but my passion for agriculture and understanding the national needs for people like me to take agriculture to the next level was my motivation. My teachers and people I know told me that ECIAF was the best place to take my education in agriculture to the next level.
