On September 23^rd, 2017 CARIRI hosted it's World Food Day event. This event included CARIRI's Food Safety Champion Competition, which had seven (7) teams battling to determine who was the ultimate food safety expert. 

The competition consisted of teams of 3 who battled for 4 rounds which comprised of :
Multiple Choice questions
True or False questions
Family Feud Food Style and 
Case study questions

At the end of this competition Arawak Co. Ltd emerged as the CARIRI 2017 Food Safety Champions. This winning team comprised of one of UTT's Diploma Food Technology graduate, Ms. Carlene Craig as well as one of our current Diploma students, Mr. Hardeo Ramdass.

The Food Science and Technology Unit congratulates these individuals on their wonderful accomplishment and is proud to showcase them.
