It is with great sadness that we inform the University community of the passing of Mr. Arjune Ramoutar.

Mr. Ramoutar departed this life on Monday 12th August, 2019 around 3:15 p.m. while holidaying with his family in St. Lucia.  

Mr. Ramoutar was a student of the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (ECIAF) from 1972-1974 and began his career at ECIAF in 1976, some forty-three years ago, as a Technical Instructor, eventually ascending to the post of Senior Instructor at the Bio-Sciences, Agriculture and Food Technologies Unit.  He would be remembered for his dedication to ECIAF, the farm, the apiary, students and staff.

He will most assuredly be missed by many.
