As an institution we are convinced that a good education plays a crucial role in building a bright future for our graduates and the nation by extension. We are committed to providing an atmosphere for our students where we can; “inculcate a set of overarching skills that help them navigate the new and emerging technologies in the national and global contexts”.

 

It is in this light, The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) through its Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (ECIAF) Campus, after a mandate given by its Programme Leader, Professor Marlon Knights, has rekindled its annual Award Ceremony celebrations. This event was held on Tuesday 31st July, 2018, themed: "An Evening of Excellence."

 

Graduates of our programmes have made and continue to make a significant impact on the development of agriculture. The ECIAF experience has proven to engender positive influences in the lives of our graduates which have extended into the communities, and by extension, work environment. The success of our graduates and their contributions to agriculture production is essential for a healthy nation and a strong and vibrant economy. The ceremony was a means of showing our appreciation for the diligence executed by our graduands and also to reward outstanding performances.

 

Our students have not only excelled in academics but were also very good at the extra-curricular activities like sports, community service and team based exercises. They have not only made us proud, but brought a healthy spirit of competition amongst our upcoming graduates which can only prove beneficial to the growth of our Institution.

 

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Programme Leader, Associate and Assistant Professors, Instructors, Corporate and Administrative staff for their support and collective efforts toward the development of these young talents, grooming them to achieve something substantial in life and above all, raising them with a positive attitude.
