My name is Rachelle Ann Spring and I am a graduate of The University of Trinidad and Tobago's (UTT) Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Food Science and Technology at UTT ECIAF Campus. Enrolling at this institution was a very fulfilling experience and one that I truly enjoyed.

During my course of study at the University I was exposed to a number of lecturers, who possess great knowledge and experience in their related fields. These lecturers communicated effectively with students ensuring the smooth transfer and delivery of knowledge. The staff members were also very courteous and helpful. They were always willing to assist with any queries and ensure that all student matters are resolved in a timely manner.

The practical approach taken to many of the courses provided students, like myself, with first-hand experience in product development, ingenuity and entrepreneurship. This allowed the students to broaden their horizons in terms of the field of work they can engage in. 

The Food Science department at The University of Trinidad and Tobago is very focused on teaching their students the role of food security in this country and the ways in which we can help make the transition from classroom to field work in order to aid in making our country a food secure nation.

So whether your ambition is to become a part of a company and make a difference or become an entrepreneur in the food industry, this in-depth programme is an excellent place to start. Completing this Degree in Food Science was a choice I will always be thankful that I made.
