On May 21st, 2015‏ UTT's Food Science and Technology Unit was invited to participate in the Ministry of Food Production's agri-exhibition at the Cunaripo Recreation Grounds. Its theme for 2015 is "Enhancing Food Security" and UTT students were able to showcase their value added agricultural products.

Student Natasha Maillard presented her concoction of cupcakes flavoured with local ingredients such as cocoa, guava and pumpkin, while Patrice Williams showcased her gluten-free brown rice bread infused with green fig and additional nutrients.

Over two hundred (200) agro enthusiasts ranging from primary school to university students, farmers and villagers came out to represent their institutions as well as the farming districts of Cumuto and Guaico Tamana.
