 With great pleasure and gratitude, I would like to extend a warm and humble thank you to the Food Science and Technology (FS&T) unit. I came to UTT (ECIAF) with goals of becoming professionally trained and qualified within the food and beverage sector.  The FS&T unit has been one of the pillars driving my success in this industry.  Academic modules and practical courses have cemented methods towards the benefit of foods: by informing, exposing, training, edifying and educating me on the science and technology that is used today. 

Critical thinking, team work, adaptability and self-motivation are amongst several skills which I acquired during my tenure at the FS&T unit. These characteristics have piloted my pursuit of success; expanded my knowledge and capabilities.

The completion of my internship at a well-established, and well renowned, fully automated beverage industry in Trinidad has elevated my skills, assertiveness and willingness to perform effectively and offered employment. Currently (2016), I am employed as a full-time Quality Assurance (QA) Technician applying all that I have learnt in the classrooms, field trips and laboratory experiences.

Having studied at the UTT, I am more confident and motivated to pursue my education to the next level, (Masters in Food and Nutrition).  I encourage all; the rewards are limitless at the BAFT/ECIAF unit. It is an honor to share my experience, the UTT surpassed all my expectations and I am confident they’ll exceed yours too.  Thank you FS&T, your support has been truly influential to my success.
