UTT Outreach engages with Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago in supervisory skills.

The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) recently partnered with Children's Authority of Trinidad and Tobago as both parties recognise that supervision skills are important for effective leadership.

The Children's Authority team members were trained in ‘Mastering Supervisory Management' to highlight the impact that effective supervision has on their team leaders and service users.

This twenty-four (24) hour course provided both new and experienced supervisors with the tools and techniques for building personal confidence in their leadership role in the workplace.  The course was broken into four parts. The first part took a "Big Picture" view of leadership and both organisational and individual self awareness. Part two covered motivation, inspiration and communication.  For part three, the lessons from parts one and two were applied to both decision making and problem solving. Finally part four covered performance planning, monitoring and improvement.

Training was delivered using the online platform Zoom with fourteen (14) candidates sucessfully completed the training.
