Coaching a team is one of the most demanding and rewarding jobs. A coach plays an influential role in the development of players, both athletically and in their "off the field" lives as well. Many of the lessons taught remain with the players for the rest of their lives.
UTT Outreach in conjunction with The Academy of Sport: Centre for Kinesiology, Physical Education and Sportoffered a one (1) year certificate programme entitled High-Performance Coaching - Strength and Conditioning. This high quality qualification is aimed at improving standards of Strength and Conditioning in Trinidad and Tobago through our outreach community engagements.
The programme was subscribed by particpants from all walks of community life in Trinidad. Many graduates are currently working in their own gyms, professional sporting organisations, national teams and community groups.
Graduates are expected to continue their work with UTT Outreach as community sports coaches as we work towards creating optimal social conditions for life skill development and transferability within communites.
