UTT Outreach is collaborating with The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), marking a significant stride in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to the cultural groups under their sponsorship.

This initiative comprises a series of specialised training courses designed for the Couva Joylanders, La Brea Nightingales, and the Sweet Tassa Group. The courses include Data Collection, Analysis, and Interpretation; Event Planning and Management, and Social Media Marketing in Practice.

The primary goal of this comprehensive training initiative is to enhance building capacity, guiding participants towards adopting a business-oriented perspective. This approach will encourage band members to navigate their industries effectively, achieve sustainability, and capitalise on opportunities for success.

Commencing with Data Collection, Analysis, and Interpretation in November 2023, at UTT San Fernando Campus, subsequent courses are scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. This training initiative not only underscores the power of collaboration between academia and industry but also celebrates the rich cultural vibrancy of Trinidad and Tobago.

UTT Outreach's commitment to developing skills across all sectors extends inclusively to cultural groups, emphasising the fostering of cultural excellence and recognising the unique contributions of diverse communities. In addition, this initiative also showcases that CSR initiatives can transcend business objectives to make positive and lasting impacts on communities and cultural groups alike.
