The UTT/Atlantic National Agricultural Business Training Programme seeks to use agriculture as a catalyst to help create a more sustainable Trinidad and Tobago. The programme is a 9-year collaborative relationship between UTT Outreach and Atlantic, which is designed to equip farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs with efficient modern day business systems and business practices, by enabling them to become more competitive and sustainable in their operations.
Thirty-Six (36) Agricultural Entrepreneurs recently graduated from the 2018/2019 programme at a ceremony held at the UTT Chaguanas Campus. Delivering opening remarks on behalf of UTT was Professor Clement Imbert, Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors. The feature address was delivered by Senator the Honourable Clarence Rambharat, Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries. Also delivering remarks at the ceremony was Mrs. Caroline Toni Sirju-Ramnarine, Vice President – Corporate Operations, Atlantic.
