Professional Skills are extremely important in the business world. The way that someone cooperates with others, handles their workload, and behaves in the workplace can determine their success as an employee. The Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority (TTCAA) partnered with UTT Outreach to deliver a Programme of "Professional Skills" for sixty (60) of the Authority’s employees, as part of their staff development plan.

This interactive engagement focused on effective and ineffective communication, understanding cultural and communication barriers and offered techniques on how they can be overcome. Time management, integrity, ethics, professionalism and conflict resolution also formed part of the Professional Skills Programme.

All levels of employees subscribed to this initiative, this included Air Traffic Instructors, Communication Navigation Surveillance Technicians, Managers, Officers, Tradesmen and Attendants, amongst several others.

This engagement follows a series of business and administrative skills interventions facilitated by the Professional Education Unit in 2018 for the TTCAA.
