UTT Outreach was engaged by the Ministry of Public Administration and Communications’Public Service Academy (PSA) to deliver Inventory Control and Management Training.  Participants from this training represented the Ministries of Public Utilities, Trade and Industry, Agriculture Land and Fisheries, National Security, Health and Office of the President of Trinidad and Tobago. 

 

The objective of the training was to expose participants to the fundamentals of inventory control and management with a view to improving efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain process within the public service. 

 

The training session included practical activities with participants identifying issues and problems, highlighting and analysing these problems using the tools and techniques from the course and then evaluating the consequences of these issues.  At the end of the training, participants were able to suggest recommendations in line with proven structures, strategies and methods for implementing effective best practices in inventory management for their respective Ministries.
