 UTT Outreach celebrated International Women's Day by hosting a seminar entitled ‘Women Who Inspire: Successes and Challenges' on Friday March 22, 2019 at the Agora Campus.

The panel of guest speakers included women from diverse sectors across Trinidad and Tobago, each sharing their individual stories of challenges on their pathway to success.    

Speakers included Ms. Catherine Kumar - former President and Country Head of RBTT Bank Limited and first female president of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM), Ms. Wendy Fitzwilliam - entrepreneur, lawyer, philanthropist and Miss Universe 1998. Ms. Charu Lochan Dass - entrepreneur, fashion designer, owner of the CLD Boutiques and the Bungalow Restaurant.  The workshop was moderated by Ms. Kiran Maharaj - managing director of Caribbean Lifestyle Communications Media Network and President of the Trinidad and Tobago Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA).

The speakers also shared their insights on navigating the work-life divide, managing stress, creating resiliency and how to live the most fulfilling life.

Over Eighty Five (85) staff members and persons from the public participated in the workshop which included a Q & A session with feedback from the panel of speakers.   Feedback received from participants at the end of the session included feelings of being inspired and motivated to face life's everyday challenges.
