UTT Outreach has been providing training services to the regional association of electric utilities, Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) continuously since 2013 having previously delivered training in Tortola, British Virgin Island, Cayman Island, Dominica and St. Vincent.

Our recent engagement with CARILEC was the delivery of the Power Plant Operator - Level 3 Training in St. Vincent facilitated by Dr. Tagore Ramlal UTT Senior Instructor, Utilities Engineering.  Fourteen (14) participants attended the training and represented the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) and the Mustique Company.

 The objective of the five (5) day training was to expose participants to the topics of Transformers and Synchronous Generators.  It also provided an introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using the software Multisim 12.0 and Logix Pro PLC Simulation.

UTT Outreach will continue to partner with industry to provide customised training programmes, knowledge sharing opportunities and be an advocate for the industry locally and throughout the Caribbean in professional training.
