Past UTT Patriots High Performance student-athlete, Kielle Connelly, has been selected for the Trinidad and Tobago National 3x3 Basketball Senior Women’s team, to participate in the first-ever 3X3 AmeriCup in Miami from November 12-14, 2021.

This historic moment marks the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3’s return to Miami, nine (9) years after the city hosted the final of the first FIBA 3x3 World Tour.

Connelly, is a dual-national athlete, having represented Trinidad and Tobago in netball from 2009-2019, and basketball on two (2) occasions in 2014. She was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad & Tobago's (NBFTT) National Invitational Championships in 2020 and was nominated by the NBFTT for 'Sportswoman of the Year' for the 58th First Citizens Sports Foundation Sports Awards in 2020.

In 2012, Connelly graduated from UTT with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Studies with a specialisation in Sport for Development.
