The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) is profoundly saddened by the passing of Mr Marvin Mack, who passed away on Thursday 3 September,  2026.

Mr Mack was a senior instructor in the Foundations and Prior Learning Unit and a cherished member of the UTT community. He was a well-known and respected presence at the John S. Donaldson Port-of-Spain Campus, where he made a meaningful contribution to the academic and personal development of many students and to the work of his colleagues.

As a mathematics instructor, Mr Mack was committed to supporting student success. Beyond the classroom, he was a valued tutor, advisor, mentor, colleague, and friend. His willingness to assist others, offer encouragement, and share his knowledge made a lasting impression on those who had the opportunity to work and interact with him.

Mr Mack's dedication, kindness, and service to the University will be remembered with gratitude. His passing represents a significant loss to the UTT community, and his presence will be deeply missed by students, colleagues, and friends.

The University extends its sincere condolences to Mr Mack's family, loved ones, colleagues, and friends during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories of his life and the many lives he touched through his work and service.

May the soul of Mr Marvin Mack rest in eternal peace.
