We are pleased to share with you our article published in Cureus. This study examined alcohol use and alcohol misuse among undergraduate students aged 18-25 years from The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine.
We used a harmonized dataset of 800 students to explore age-related patterns of alcohol misuse and selected alcohol-related harms among young adults in Trinidad and Tobago. The findings highlight the importance of looking beyond legal drinking-age discussions and considering broader public health approaches to address alcohol misuse and its associated consequences among university students.
