The Outreach and Industry Relations Unit of The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) hosted a one-day technical workshop in High Voltage Cable Termination, Splicing and Testing, bringing together thirty (30) professionals from across the electrical industry.

Held on May 5, 2026, at UTT's Chaguanas Campus, the workshop attracted participants from a wide cross-section of this sector, including field technicians and experienced engineers. The diverse professional experience of the group contributed to a highly interactive learning environment, with discussions connecting technical theory to real-world industry practice.

The workshop included group discussions on cable preparation techniques, video demonstrations on proper splicing and termination procedures, and hands-on interaction with high voltage test kits. These activities provided participants with practical exposure to key safety requirements, testing methods, and procedures used in high voltage cable work.

Through workshops such as this, UTT's Outreach and Industry Relations Unit continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering practical, industry-driven training that strengthens technical capability, supports workforce development, and helps organisations meet current industry needs
