UTT, through its International Office and Grant Funding Unit (IOGF), has established partnerships with various institutions in Canada. UTT’s partnership with Brock University is one such collaboration, which now allows students, staff and faculty the opportunity to pursue funded study abroad under the Government of Canada's Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) initiatives.

DFATD SCHOLARSHIPS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE: 

1. Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP)

This programme provides students and researchers from the Americas and the Caribbean with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels. The 2015-2016 competition is now open.

ELAP scholarships are facilitated through institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between Canadian and Central, North and South American or Caribbean institutions. These agreements are created between colleges, technical or vocational institutions and universities.

2. The Canada-CARICOM Leadership Scholarships Program 
This programme provides students and researchers from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.

3. Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Program

The Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Program provides faculty or international liaison officers/managers from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) with short-term exchange opportunities for professional development, graduate study or research at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
