CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Mariell Parris for being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship!

Through our ongoing bilateral relations with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Canada, UTT continues to explore opportunities for student and faculty exchange, joint research and development activities, and other academic initiatives.

To this end, we are proud to recognise the successful awardee of the 2017 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship: Ms. Mariell Parris – Research Assistant – Institute of Criminology and Public Safety. 

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships Programme (QES) was established to enable young global leaders across the Commonwealth to access cross-cultural exchanges encompassing international education, discovery and inquiry, and professional experiences in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne in 2012.

During her visit to UOIT, Ms. Parris aims to share and compare experiences in the field of criminology, as well as form relationships between the University’s Criminology and Justice Department and the UTT’s Institute of Criminology and Public Safety. It is expected that this will foster academic and research collaboration in the future in hope of enhancing the quality of work and extending the repertoire of both universities.
