• All regional and international students are required to obtain an annual student permit from Trinidad and Tobago’s Immigration Division for the duration of their programme. Visa requirements differ depending on your nationality. This process is facilitated through UTT’s International Office and once accepted into a programme, you are required to contact us at (1 868 642-2888 ext. 21203) to begin this process.

UTT is guided by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago’s Immigration Division which does not permit international students to register for part time study.

We invite you to visit www.u.tt and search for a programme area that you may be interested in. Each programme dictates their own admissions deadline and we are only able to advise based on the deadline dates posted by UTT’s Registry.

• Need-based financial aid is not available for international students. We recommend that international students research scholarship opportunities that may be available in their home countries to study in Trinidad and Tobago.
• The International Office will inform interested international students when scholarship opportunities do arise. In the interim, we encourage all interested students to still apply within application deadlines to ensure the opportunity is not missed.

All programmes offered at UTT are taught in English and students applying should give this due consideration. We would recommend that you have a good command of the English language (spoken and written) before submitting your application. UTT does not have any programmes specifically devoted to teaching English as a foreign language.

• Tuition fees differ depending on programme area. We encourage prospective students to contact the Admissions Department for further information.

Please note the following:

• There is no application fee for online applications
• International students are not eligible to receive GATE funding
• The cost of the programmes are subject to change at the discretion of the University

Trinidad and Tobago’s Immigration laws do not allow international students to obtain work permits for the duration of their study. After the successful completion of your programme, if a job opportunity arises, an employer may make an official request from the Immigration Division on your behalf.

• In your search, please note which campus you will be stationed at. UTT has over 14 campuses in different locations throughout the country and an accommodation unit within the respective area in recommended.

• Each student will be required to forward their academic documents. Please pay attention to the admissions guidelines.
