The ACU Gender Programme offers annual awards of £1,000 to help member universities to meet the cost of organizing projects promoting gender equity and equality in their institutions. The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis. 

You can apply if you are currently employed by one of the ACU member institutions (UTT is a member).

You will need the following information with your application:

• Your CV - highlighting work you have undertaken in the area of promotion of gender equity/equality, combating gender-based violence, etc,
• Action Plan - 400-600 words your draft action plan for introducing an effective gender equity/equality initiative at your home institution. Time scales must be included.
• Support letter from the head of your institution

Each of the successful applicants will receive GBP (British Pounds) 1,000 to implement action plan promoting gender equity at their institution. Payment of the grant will be made directly to the institution.

For approved cases, the allocated amount is paid in two instalments; first £500 is transferred at the beginning of the project, and final amount of £500 will be paid after receiving the final report at the end of the project (mid-project report will be required half way through the action plan). The action plan should be for a minimum of 3 months and maximum of 10 months.

The closing date for proposals is midnight (GMT) on Sunday, 9 June 2019.
