The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) expresses deep sorrow on the very sad and untimely passing of Lisa Morris-Julian, Minister in the Ministry of Education, and her two children. UTT has lost not only a friend but an educator with a passion for youth development, from her days as a school teacher and in her political career.
Minister Morris-Julian will be remembered at UTT for her reassuring presence, as she made a positive impact on all those she met, never missing an invitation or opportunity to be at the former UTT O’Meara Campus, which fell within the constituency she represented as a Member of Parliament. She was passionate about the education of our youth, and also served as a mentor to many. She will be remembered for her humility, caring and unwavering commitment to her community and country, striving to always help those in need.
The Chairman and Board of Governors, faculty, staff and students of UTT extend their condolences to Minister Julian-Morris’ family, relatives, friends, and all those who are in mourning, particularly her husband and other children.
