ADRIAN FOSTER, a graduate of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and UTT Fashion Incubatee will be heading to the prestigious London Fashion Week which runs from February 20 to 24.

In 2013, Foster graduated with a UTT Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design from UTT's Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD). Today, he is preparing his collection which will be showcased during the 2015 London Fashion Week.

In 2011, Foster won Fashion Panache, "Designer of the year Award". His work was judged among many designers in the Caribbean region. He had entered UTT's fashion programme in 2009, just two years before showing his incredible skills in illustration and fine details in his garments.

Foster has established his brand "AF" and has been producing his designs for elite customers and fashionistas. He has a thriving business and has been involved in many developing initiatives of the fashion industry.

In September 2014, his fashion was showcased on the runway at New York's Fashion Week.

Foster continues to be a member of the UTT community and is now a participant of the first fashion incubator in Trinidad and Tobago through UTT's START programme.

Foster was selected by the London Fashion Council to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the, "Ones to Watch" initiative. He will be among 10-15 designers in the world competing in this fashion installation of young upcoming designers.

The International Fashion Showcase - London's unique annual gathering of international emerging talent - is proof that nothing rivals being able to see young designers and their work in real time and in settings they've specially created to tell their own stories.

This third annual event was originally conceived by The British Council and the British Fashion Council in 2012 as a kind of fashion parallel to the Olympics. In other words, it's an invitation, sent via embassies, for each country to send a crack team of their young fashion talent to compete to present their work and ideas during London Fashion Week.

International Fashion Showcase (IFS) was established in 2012, to date more than 350 designers from more than 50 countries have been represented.

IFS is an opportunity for country branding during a key sector event. The platform enables countries to present its contemporary culture in a creative and coherent format.

In 2014 the central venue at 180 Strand attracted more than 5000 visitors and over 300 press and buyers internationally. IFS' organised fashion installations in 2015 will again attract thousands more and will be hosted at Victoria House.

In 2014 IFS coverage value reached £1.5 million with a circulation of 25 million including the following national and international mainstream and specialised media outlets: CNN, The UK Guardian, International New York Times, Style.com, Time Out, Daily Mail online, Grazia, Vogue UK, Vogue Italia & Le Monde.

The International Fashion Showcase offers countries the opportunity to Showcase fashion from their region during London Fashion Week, position country brand at the forefront of the global fashion industry, develop networks in the UK and international fashion sectors and support fashion organisations and emerging designers

The platform offers designers the opportunity to present their collections during London Fashion Week, gain exposure to relevant international press and buyers, develop contacts in the UK and international fashion sectors and network with their peers, learn from industry experts and access business support opportunities and gain feedback and mentoring on their collections

UTT fashion graduate Adrian Foster will be representing Trinidad and Tobago at the prestigious London Fashion Week in February.
