The aviation industry is awakening post-COVID-19 with indicators of robust travel demand, and the derived need for trained professionals to support it. The University of Trinidad and Tobago's (UTT) Camden Campus, operationalize in 2018, continues to produce graduates who are being recruited by air operators embarking on expansionist strategies to take advantage of the global travel needs.

Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) is the largest Air Operator in the region, with a long history of safe operations supported by a rich legacy of aircraft maintenance at the highest level. Recently, they embarked on a recruitment drive for its Maintenance and Engineering Division, in support of planned expansion strategies and human resource succession planning.

Nineteen of the twenty-one hires have traded their UTT Aviation Campus shirts proudly worn over the four years of their study at UTT, for CAL livery, which they will now wear just as proudly, as they pursue careers in aircraft maintenance and engineering at CAL.

The Aviation Unit is committed to facilitating the continued development of these young professionals while they pursue their aircraft licenses, through UTT's Alumni Association.

Additionally, the University recognises this unique achievement, and will continue to provide quality education in support of entrepreneurship, sustainable employment and national development.
