The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) wishes to acknowledge Dr. Andrew Hunte, Assistant Professor, Foundation Courses, who served as Guest Editor for the Caribbean Educational Research Journal (CERJ) Volume 6 Special Issue on Mathematics Education.

The Caribbean Educational Research Journal (CERJ) is described as a peer-reviewed journal that publishes educational research, broadly defined, in relation to issues within the Caribbean region. This included issues about Caribbean populations beyond the Caribbean, and regarding topics that may be unrelated to but have direct implications for Caribbean.

This groundbreaking issue, presented scholarly work from various mathematics educators throughout the region and that of another member of UTT staff and Master of Education student, Dr. Marc Jackman, in collaboration with Ms. Perilou Kirton.

Dr. Hunte also co-authored an article entitled "Teachers' Perspectives of the Introduction of Mathematics School-Based Assessment in Trinidad and Tobago, which appeared in the journal.

Dr. Hunte currently serves as Associate Editor for CERJ, and he is working on another journal issue, which will feature practitioner-oriented articles with instructional strategies and creative enacted mathematics lessons specifically targeted for in-service and pre-service mathematics teachers.

For the role he continues to play in education and the coordination of this prestigious publication, the University says congratulations!
