COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE WORKSHOP

Given the current issues surrounding the mathematical and scientific competence of our students, the Community of Practice was meant to provide ongoing professional development, mentoring and instructional support to mathematics and science instructors at UTT. This workshop provided an interactive teaching/learning space for instructors to discuss and share effective pedagogical tools they use in their classrooms on a day-to-day basis. The Learning Centre (TLC) and Foundations and Prior Learning (FPL) jointly facilitated this workshop. 

FACULTY TRAINING COURSE OUTLINES WORKSHOP

Using a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) technique this workshop on Course Outlines highlighted the essential features of a good course outline which included, but was not limited to prerequistes, objectives, course content, methods of instruction, course schedules, assessment, resource materials and approvals. The Learning Centre (TLC) facilitated this workshop.
