Goodbye Blackboard - Welcome Canvas! 

Dear Colleagues,

As of June 1st, 2016 The University of Trinidad and Tobago is migrating to its new Learning Management System, Canvas. The migration from Blackboard to Canvas has been successfully explored and piloted for almost two years, and currently there are already over two hundred (200) courses hosted in Canvas. Existing courses on Blackboard are 'live' until July 31st, 2016, and will be archived thereafter. Canvas is now the official learning management system used at UTT.

Over the last few months all instructors using Blackboard have been offered one-to-one assistance or workshops in migrating existing content or creating new courses in the new Canvas learning environment. In an effort to facilitate the migration process, TLC continues to offer workshops on 'Getting Started with Canvas'. Should you be unable to attend any of the workshops, you will find all the relevant training information to make yourself comfortable in the new Canvas environment by clicking on the Canvas TAB on the TLC website. Here, you will also find detailed information regarding the (automatic) migration of existing Blackboard courses to Canvas.
