The Learning Centre (TLC) in collaboration with Student Support Services, Centre for Education Programmes and Entrepreneurship & Business Development Unit held a Customised Workshop for Petroleum Engineering on Wednesday 14th June, 2017 at the UTT Chaguanas Campus.

The key learning objectives were to:

• make classroom experience count
• learn to recognise the obstacles that mitigate against having a meaningful, fulfilling and effective classroom experience
• use state-of-the-art techniques to addressing student challenges
• practise ‘thinking outside the box’
• manage classroom challenges
• ensure that classroom lessons address targeted areas in an efficient manner
• deal with disruptive behavior in a professional manner
• use effective communication strategies
• utilise hands-on technology and communication tools
• help learners with learning difficulties.
