You have come to the right place if you are seeking information on any aspect associated with teaching, learning instructional support and above all, the use of emerging technologies to support the academic mission of The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).

Communication Networks, Instructional Software, and applications to support teaching, learning, instructional support, research and administrative activities have become integral to the educational experience. As technology becomes more deeply ingrained into the daily academic activities of the University, the actions and decisions of the institution need to be aligned with the needs and priorities of its key academic constituents. The development and adoption of technologically facilitated educational and administrative practices have solidly enmeshed Information Technology as a strategic partner in the educational enterprise.

The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Instructional Support hopes to provide all visitors (virtual and face-to-face) with resources, or links to resources that will allow them to have a more effective grasp on self-education. Examples include: access to the UTT's Learning Management System (Canvas); access to professional development resources; support in designing web-enabled courses and instruction; and last but not least, links to cutting edge information on all matters relevant to learning: learning theory, learning space design, instructional design, course development, emerging learning technologies, social networks etc.
