During the Christmas holiday, TLC Support will undertake several major changes and upgrades to the Canvas Learning Management System in preparation for Term 2 - 2016/2017. Please be advised that in spite of this, Canvas will remain available at all times. For an enhanced experience amongst our teaching and learning environments, we will be working to ensure closer Canvas integration with the Student Information System (SIS) MyPortal and the MyCampus Single Sign On (SSO) Portal.

What does this mean for Faculty and Students?

In essence, you will find that your Canvas Username is replaced with your Institutional Login ID (Firstname.Lastname for instructors, and student ID number for students). This new Login ID will enable users to login at one single access point (MyCampus) and enjoy a seamless experience across multiple domains. The newly developed Canvas SIS Integration will allow information regarding Users, Courses and Enrollments to be retrieved on a routine basis and imported into Canvas.

This one Login ID allows access to Canvas and Single-Sign-On Integration (Faculty and Students) but also other applications such as:

• Canvas and SIS Integration
• Canvas and UTT Student Email Integration
• Canvas and 0365 Tool Integration
• Canvas and Turnitin Feedback Studio
• Canvas and CoursEval (Completed)

The Canvas Support Team will work closely with faculty and students to ensure a smooth transition as we perform these necessary and highly desired integrations. You will receive all relevant notifications prior to tasks being performed and also upon completion.
