The University of Trinidad and Tobago proudly extends congratulations to Dr. Donnie Boodlal- a member of our academic staff at UTT Point Lisas...the Energy Campus.
Dr. Boodlal is one of twenty individuals who have been selected from hundreds of international applicants to attend a facilitators training course from two well-known and respected international bodies- Mitigation Action Plans and Scenarios (MAPS) and Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS). Dr. Boodlal recently graduated with a PhD in Process and Utilities Engineering from UTT. He has done extensive work on “Cost-Effective Strategies for Greenhouse Gas Mitigation in Trinidad and Tobago” and is recognised both nationally and internationally for his work.
This intensive five-day workshop is aimed at equipping mid-career practitioners to facilitate complex climate change scenario building processes. The course aims to enable professionals to institute, design and manage such processes at all levels: national and subnational, academic and/ or at the enterprise level. Candidates were carefully chosen on the basis of their respective contributions within the areas of greenhouse gas mitigation and climate change reduction.
