The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) recently relaunched the UTT Trekkers Hiking Club and successfully embarked on its first hike of the year to Mermaid Pools in the Matura Forest.
There was representation from both UTT ECIAF and Tamana campuses, with Imran Jan, Senior Sport Officer, Sport and Recreation, and Carlene Sookram, Student Development Officer, Student Support Services, accompanying students.
Sincere thanks are extended to the Sangre Grande Conservation Awareness Group, who, through their guidance, ensured the day was safe, educational, and exciting for all involved.
This successful outing is the first of many hikes planned for the year. Staff and students are encouraged join the UTT Trekkers Hiking Club for future excursions as they continue to explore the outdoors.
