International Coach Shares Expertise with UTT's Sport and Recreation Unit

On Friday 12th January, 2024, members of UTT’s Sport and Recreation Unit had the pleasure of interacting and networking with former International Football Coach of the Canada Football Association (CFA), Mr. Keith Pritchard.

Born in Trinidad, Pritchard was the Technical Director of the Alberta and Saskatchewan Soccer Associations in Canada. His coaching experience includes being Head Coach for Canada’s Under-18 Women’s National Team, Apprentice Coach for Canada's Under-20 Women’s National Team (Pan Am Games), and Coach of the Canada Women’s National Team training camps.

He is the holder of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Engineering degree, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), and a Masters of Physical Education (MPE) degree. Pritchard possesses a CFA B License Certificate and an English Football Association (FA) International Coaching License.

He comes with a wealth of knowledge having delivered presentations and seminars to coaches of various disciplines in various parts of the world.

Pritchard shared his expertise in navigating the complexities of coaching and sport, discussing topics such as:

  • Practical Nutritional Guidelines for Competition
  • Player Management
  • Injury Prevention
  • Hydration Strategies for Athletes
  • Dehydration and Heat Illness
  • Airplane Travel Strategies

  • Tips for Athletes Who Travel to Compete
