The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has recently been made aware of several posts, circulating on social media platforms falsely advertising free courses and certifications. Some of these posts bear the University’s logo and images of its campuses, and also appear to be in collaboration with other local and international tertiary institutions. UTT is not affiliated with these courses and in light of this, UTT urges the public to verify the authenticity of such offerings before engaging.

All official correspondences, including online posts and links related to the University, will include the institution's official URL - www.utt.edu.tt or www.u.tt. Any other URLs claiming to represent UTT should be considered misleading and potentially harmful.

The University urges citizens to exercise caution and diligence before releasing any sensitive information or interacting with advertisements.

Given the rise in cyberattacks and other malicious activities, UTT is committed to safeguarding the personal information of its stakeholders. The University encourages individuals to seek clarification by using official UTT channels for accurate and reliable information on courses.
