An Accreditation panel visited the Point Lisas Campus on Tuesday 6th March 2012, as the Petroleum Engineering Unit seeks re-accreditation for the M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering programme from the Energy Institute, UK. Accreditation from the Energy Institute, UK, is also being sought for the following programmes: 

• M.Sc. in Reservoir Engineering
• B.A.Sc/ M.Eng in Petroleum Engineering
• B.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering

The Accreditation panel consisted of the following individuals: 

• Mr. Laurie Power - Robert Gordon University
• Mr. Jim Somerville - Heriot-Watt University
• Mr. Kevin Durham - Local Industry Representative
• Ms. Yasmine Dialdas - Professional Development Officer, Energy Institute
