The Quality Professionals Forum (QPF), officially launched on 28th March 2011, was initiated by QA&IE in an effort to have professionals at tertiary level institutions interact and engage in discussions on issues related to quality assurance and quality improvement in the education sector.
To date the QPF has over eighty-five (85) registered members and has been used to launch five (5) discussions and advertise two (2) quality assurance events. New discussions will be launched on a bi-monthly basis.
The benefits of the QPF include:
- Participation in online discussions on quality assurance and accreditation issues
- Access to resources (text, audio, pictures, video etc.).
- Interaction with other quality assurance professionals in the tertiary education sector
- Access to a wealth of information on best practice at institutions that are leaders in higher education

Database Systems for the QPF
The Quality Professionals Forum is supported by a custom, in-house database built using MS Access called QPF Contacts.
The QPF Contacts application allows:
- Storage of all contact information relating to QPF members
- Searching for QPF members based on certain criteria
- Reporting on various statistics on QPF members
- Integration with Microsoft products to send emails, faxes and letters
