UTT has a vibrant IET On Campus Community called UTT IET which is already successfully representing UTT at local and international IET events.

In June 2019, the Vice Chair, Mr. Pradesh Boodoosingh, won the local leg of the IET Present Around the World competition, which qualified him to represent UTT at the international leg of the competition that was held August in San Diego, USA, where he placed second. He was sponsored by the IET UK to attend this event. ‘Present Around the World' is a global competition for young professionals and students within the engineering field that is aimed at developing and showcasing their presentation skills.

Also, in November of that same year, he was invited to attend the IET's Communities Volunteer Conference where he met and networked with representatives and groups from America, Canada, France, Bermuda and other countries.

The IET UK has again sponsored Mr. Boodoosingh to travel to India in late February 2020 in his capacity as Vice Chair of UTT IET, to participate in the Young Professionals Community Volunteer Conference

(YPCVC) in Bangalore, as a member of the IET Communities Committee Americas (CC-A). This is a group of IET volunteer members who aid and support other IET volunteer communities, Local Networks (LN), Technical & Professional Networks (TPN), On Campus Groups (OCG), and Young Professionals (YP) within the Americas region. The CC-A is responsible for the delivery of all IET member activities throughout North America, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Greenland.
