The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) participated in the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference Tradeshow which was held at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad, from February 6^th-8^th 2012. This initiative was an ideal platform to highlight and market UTT’s programmes relevant to the energy industry. Petroleum, Process and Utilities Engineering programmes were integral topics areas at the conference.

Visitors to the booth visitors were informed about the University’s programmes, accreditation status, laboratory facilities, current industry partners and research opportunities at UTT.

The booth was visited by international delegations expressing interest in UTT’s programmes. This initiative was a resounding success where UTT was able to enhance its image and visibility to key industry stakeholders.

The Trinidad & Tobago Energy Conference (formerly the Trinidad & Tobago Petroleum Conference), since 1989, is organized by the Energy Chamber, the representative association for the Trinidad & Tobago energy sector (www.energy.tt). It is a highly reputable and well established energy conference and widely regarded as the premier energy sector event in the Caribbean region. The vision of the Chamber is to steer the energy sector of Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean from mere hydrocarbon extraction to sustainable development.

The annual conference attracts members and non-members from around the region and is a prestigious event on the international conference circuit.
