The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has successfully explored uncharted territory by becoming the first institution in Trinidad and Tobago, and the Caribbean region, to receive full Chartered Engineering status by the Energy Institute, UK, for its Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Petroleum Engineering Undergraduate degree. 

The M.Eng. degree is awarded to students who complete an extended four-year period of full-time study, subsequent to successful completion of UTT’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc.) degree. Chartered Engineering status ensures that UTT’s graduates have a recognisable, international engineering qualification which adequately distinguishes their qualification.
