The Office of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness (QA&IE) formerly (QA&IA) resides within the Office of the President, with primary responsibility for the design, development and implementation of a university-wide system for quality assurance and accreditation and an integrated approach to institutional research that is linked to strategic planning and evidence-based decision-making.
The work of the office is supported by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that facilitates more effective communication among institutional stakeholders.
QA&IE is headed by a Vice-President Quality Assurance & Institutional Effectiveness and supported by system managers with responsibility for quality assurance and improvement, institutional research and effectiveness, and knowledge systems and technology solutions. The QA&IE unit currently has a total of twelve (12) staff members.
UTT has institutional accreditation from ACTT to offer programmes up to the doctoral degree.
