On March 22nd 2019, The University of Trinidad and Tobago's (UTT) Business Incubator/Accelerator - uSTART, hosted a group of twenty (20) students from the Trillium International School and their teachers. The senior grade students (10-12) of Trillium's Secondary Programme are also part of the Career Studies class. The visit to uSTART was intended to demonstrate the increasing value of alternative or non-traditional careers as well as to apprise the students of facilities, like uSTART, which supports such career choices. The students learnt about uSTART's services and entrepreneurship from a short presentation and interactive session. They were then able to better understand the entrepreneurial career path directly from some of uSTART's entrepreneurs who shared their stories of how they founded their companies, overcame challenges and achieved success. They also engaged the students in activities which further stimulated their interest in entrepreneurship and in emerging and creative industries.
