The University of Trinidad and Tobago's Business Accelerator/Incubator – uSTART, functions as an engine of innovation and enterprise, fostering an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurial mindsets of both students and staff of UTT through the provision of a physical business space and business development services; inclusive of access to hosted seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities originating at uSTART and with partner organisations.
On Friday 18th November, 2016, uSTART hosted Ms. Lara Quentrall-Thomas, founder and Chairman of Regency Recruitment and Resources Limited. The seminar was presented to an audience of twenty (20) entrepreneurs and their staff, and the aim of the workshop was to give them a better understanding of Customer Service.
The Customer Service for Entrepreneurs Master Class covered areas including: investing in your customers, the customer experience, leadership, employees and relationships. Within the session, entrepreneurs shared their experiences relating to the topic at hand and Ms. Quentrall-Thomas was happy to provide advice.
The seminar was a success with 71% of the entrepreneurs rating the knowledge they gained with a ten out of ten, 15% rating it nine and the other 14% gave eight and seven. At the end of the Master Class the entrepreneurs took the opportunity to network with Ms. Quentrall-Thomas, as well as attending representatives from other companies.
uSTART wishes to thank Ms. Lara Quentrall-Thomas for her assistance and collaboration as uSTART continues to strive to achieve UTT and uSTART's mission, "To be an entrepreneurial university designed to discover and develop entrepreneurs, commercialize research and development and spawn companies for wealth generation and sustainable job creation towards the equity enhancement of the quality of life of all individuals, families and communities of the republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean."
