This virtual tour was developed through a partnership between Chevelle Gollop and Deanesh Ramsewak of UTT’s Marine Sciences Unit, and Dr. Anjani Ganase, Director of the local NGO, SpeSeas. Chevelle developed a 3D model of a brain coral colony located in the Buccoo Reef Marine Protected Area using underwater photogrammetric techniques and geographic information systems (GIS) for her final year project in the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Coastal and Ocean Management programme at UTT. The collaboration with Dr. Ganase then utilised underwater 360-imagery from the Maritime Ocean Collection (https://maritimeoceancollection.com/) to develop an online educational tour of Tobago’s coral reefs.
