Miquel Garcia presented his research at the recently concluded Caribbean Science Symposium on Water, which took place during March 23rd – 25th, 2021. The theme of this regional event, hosted by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), was "Building Resilience in the Regional Water Sector to Address Climatological and Hydrological Risks and Threats."
Miquel is a final year student of the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Integrated Coastal and Ocean Management programme (ICOM) at the Centre for Maritime and Ocean Studies (CMOS), UTT Chaguaramas Campus. He is currently conducting research on river plume characterisation using remote sensing techniques in the Gulf of Paria for his final thesis, under the guidance of his supervisor Mr. Deanesh Ramsewak.
