The Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) is happy to announce that saxophone student, Chavez Benjamin, has been awarded first place in the Orchestral Instrument Solo section of the 2022 Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival. He performed 'Aria' by Eugéne Bozza, a 20th Century French composer known for his challenging wind compositions, and was given 100% by the panel.

 

Chavez says, "I am thankful for my instructor, Anthony Woodroffe’s advice and his continual effort to make sure that I can be the best. Even with my 100% achievement in Music Festival I believe I still have miles to go and grow and I hope that I can perform beyond this level and give more than a 100% for my life."
