My name is Timothy Motilal and I have chosen to pursue my Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Entrepreneurship at The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), due to my fondness for the field of engineering. In pursuing this programme, I have developed a zeal for the field of engineering and I particularly like that this degree integrates components of both mechanical and electrical engineering. The lecturers and teaching within this programme have enabled me to think in a more innovative way, and have also enabled me to engage in creative ideation and solution finding not just within the classroom environment, but in my everyday life; a skill I believe is beneficial to many individuals.

As I continue to embark on this journey towards completion of my degree, I believe through my experience, that this degree not only prepares students to become excellent employees but also the experience and knowledge being shared can equip students to become entrepreneurs, with the ability to handle the ever-changing work world. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on projects, and the content of the curriculum has always stirred my interest and kept challenging me to become better and work harder - academically and otherwise - every day. Finally, my commitment to Jesus Christ was mirrored in my commitment to my studies and I continue to excel because God has helped me so I can say by the grace of God I am what I am today.
