UTT’s Master in Innovation, Manufacturing Management and Entrepreneurship (IMME) students were out in the community with family, friends and well-wishers, pre-COVID-19, beautifying the entranceway to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. This project was done in conjunction with the San Juan Laventille Regional Corporation under the guidance of Mrs. Diane Lakhan and formed part of their Industry Project (PRAC 6006) course in the Master’s programme. The project was supervised by Dr. Aatma Maharajh, Dr. Nadine Sangster and Mr. Aaron Ameerali, staff of Design and Manufacturing Systems. These projects within the programme provide students with the opportunity to gain real life experience related to the theory which they cover in the programme. They also provide the opportunity for staff and students and to foster a relationship with the wider community while giving back.
